Connected primary packaging: NP Plastibell and STMicroelectronics will unveil their connected syringe at Pharmapack!
At Pharmapack, NP Plastibell and STMicroelectronics will present their latest innovation a connected pre-filled syringe containing a near-field communication (NFC) tag integrated inside the body of the syringe.This innovation allow medical personnel and patients to access important medicine-related information.
The ultra-miniaturized NFC tag is directly over-molded into the syringe by NP Plastibell. While the syringe is filled with medicine, the NFC tag can store related information to allow the patient and healthcare professionals to validate its legitimacy, view the manufacturing history, see usage recommendations, and find any other important information or warnings.

Le tag NFC, avec son antenne ultra-miniaturisée, est directement surmoulé dans la seringue par NP Plastibell. Il est programmé lors du remplissage de la seringue, et contient dès lors des informations à destination du patient, et des professionnels de santé, permettant le suivi du produit depuis sa fabrication. Ce mécanisme permet d’obtenir également des recommandations d'utilisation, des avertissements d’usage, d’authentifier le produit, et autorise même des interactions entre les différents acteurs.
